CHARLOTTE, N.C. – A former UNC Charlotte student is facing felony charges after hes accused of sharing a secret sex tape with a fraternity group.
Authorities say Alexander Evanoff recorded the video without the victim’s consent and shared with at least 32 members of Sigma Alpha Epsilon.

Court papers show during the encounter in Hunt Hall back in September, Evanoff told the victim to change positions and started recording her with his iPhone without her knowledge.

Evanoff is accused of sharing the video with members of Sigma Alpha Epsilon in a Snapchat group. The victim reportedly confronted Evanoff about the video and asked if he thought it would make him appear cooler and he confessed. Evanoff is charged with two counts of felony secret peeping and one count of disclosing private images.

University officials sent a statement about the allegations saying Evanoff is not currently enrolled at UNC Charlotte, it goes on to say in part, “The alleged conduct in this case, if true, is reprehensible. It is not what we expect or will tolerate from members of our campus community.”

Evanoff is reportedly not a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity and it’s unclear why he was a part of the chat.

Evanoff was arrested Monday and was out by Tuesday. He’s scheduled to appear in court November 5th. WCCB reached out to Sigma Alpha Epsilon and we’re still waiting to hear back, we’re also waiting to hear back from Evanoff’s attorney.
